Pranayama

Pranayama is the yogic practice of focusing on breath. The word is composed of two Sanskrit words, Prana - life force or "vital life force", and ayama means to gain control. In yoga, breath is associated with the prana, thus, pranayama is a means to elevate the prana shakti, or life energies. In yoga it is often translated more specifically as breathe control. When the prana in the body is low, one tends to be more lethargic, dull and unenthusiastic. Toxins then accumulate in these areas and pain, stiffness or diseases set in. Through the practice of yoga , prana begins to flow, allowing toxins to be release and removed. Various types of pranayama practice is taught to the students regularly.
